Federal Assistance Available: SBA Offering Low Interest Disaster Loans for Late 2025 December Storm

Federal assistance is available for Californians affected by the Late 2025 December Storm 

Low interest disaster loans are available to California businesses, private nonprofits and residents to offset physical and economic losses from the Late December 2025 storm from December 16, 2025 – December 26, 2025.  

What types of Disaster Loans are Available?  

  • Business Physical Disaster Loans  
  • Home Disaster Loans  
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL)  

Businesses and nonprofits may be eligible to borrow up to $2 million to repair, or replace disaster-damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory and other business assets.  

Homeowners and renters may borrow up to $100,000 to replace or repair personal property such as: clothing, furniture, cars, and appliances.  

The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Inyo, Kern, Lassen, Los Angeles, Modoc, Orange, Plumas. Riverside, San Bernardino, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity as well as the Arizona counties of La Paz and Mohave, and the Nevada county of Clark.  

What are the Credit Requirements:  

  • Credit history acceptable by SBA  
  • Ability to repay loans  

Loan details include:  

  • Terms ofup to 30 years  
  • Interest rates as low as3.625% for nonprofitsand4.00% for businesses  
  • No payments due for the first 12 months, andno interest accrual during that period
