From the NFL Super Bowl Fan Experience in San Francisco to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, hundreds of thousands of visitors and residents are expected to turn out for festivities around the Bay Area this week.
These events require a whole-of-government effort to maintain public safety — local, state, and federal partners staying aligned, sharing information, planning in advance, and deploying resources where they’re needed most.
The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is coordinating this effort on behalf of the state, including the participation of the California Transportation Agency, the California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Transportation, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, the California National Guard, the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development and the California Department of Social Services to ensure public safety, keep the roads clear, benefit our economy, and support our California communities.
If you or someone you know is headed to the game, or any of the week-long festivities, here’s some tips on how to stay safe.

- Travel in groups.
- Drink plenty of water and limit alcohol to stay hydrated.
